No. 9 Women’s Golf Wins NCAA Las Vegas Regional; Advance to Nationals

LAS VEGAS – The No. 9 Arkansas women’s golf team finished the job by winning the NCAA Las Vegas Regional after leading after each round. Arkansas shot a 16-over 304 on the final day through windy, tough conditions at Spanish Trail Country Club on Wednesday. With the 4-shot victory done behind an even 864 (280-280-304), the Hogs have won their first NCAA Regional Championship since 2018 and second in school history. With the victory, Arkansas has earned four team wins on the season, which is the second most in a season in program history. The Hogs also advance to their 12th NCAA Championship in school history, first since 2022.

Kajal Mistry also became the NCAA Regional Co-Champion behind a 6-under 210 (66-69-75), winning her second individual medalist title in her collegiate career. She was even through the front nine but bogeyed three out of her final six holes. Mistry still minimized the damage with a 75 on a day where scores were high. The graduate student led the field in par 4s average at 3.83 and was third in par 5s average at 4.67.

Kendall Todd finished NCAA Regionals in a tie for sixth with a 1-under 215 (73-66-76). She logged a 4-over 76 on Wednesday behind 15 pars, two bogeys and one double bogey. Her top 10 finish became her fourth this season. The junior had 11 birdies on the tournament, which tied for the fifth most.

Maria José Marin tied for eighth with an even 216 (68-71-77). Her 77 on Wednesday was done behind 13 pars and five bogeys. The top 10 showing marks the fourth of her freshman season. She had 39 pars on the tournament, which was tied for the fifth most.

Reagan Zibilski logged a 4-over 76 in the final round to jump eight spots on the final leaderboard to come in a tie for 36th with a 10-over 226 (74-76-76). Miriam Ayora tied with Zibilski in the final standings at 36th also with a 10-over 226 (73-74-79).

Arkansas led the 12-team field in par 5s average (4.80), pars (180) and eagles (3).
