No. 9 Women's Golf, Zibilski Win Dale McNamara Invitational

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The ninth-ranked Arkansas women’s golf team picked up its second win in as many weeks after winning the Dale McNamara Invitational by 21 strokes. The Razorbacks entered the tournament coming off a 29-stroke win at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational.

Junior Reagan Zibilski (-6) was crowned the individual champion, her first collegiate win, and senior Kendall Todd (-2) added her fourth career runner-up finish.

Along with Zibilski and Todd, two other Hogs finished in the top 15 after completing the 54-hole tournament. Freshman Clarisa Temelo (+5) finished T-7th for the second straight event and reigning SEC Golfer of the Week Maria José Marin (+8) sat at No. 14 in the leaderboard.

The Razorbacks settled in after a tough first round at Cedar Ridge Country Club (Par 71, 6,366 yds) and notched 13 birdies in the second round on Monday. Zibilski made history after shooting a program-low 63 and dropped two eagles on the par-5 No. 5 and the par-4 No. 12 holes. Arkansas finished the day even par with an 8-shot lead over Oklahoma State.

The Hogs teed off in the final round at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in a shotgun start. The squad collected six birdies on the front nine while the Cowboys finished 17-over par. The Hogs had enough of a lead to shoot a 5-over par on the second nine and ended the round ahead by 21 strokes.

Zibilski cemented her win with three birdies on the back nine and finished the day 1-over par. Zibilski, José Marin and Temelo all shot 72s and had the Razorbacks’ best rounds of the day.
