Olesen Eans DP World Tour Card
After a grueling six rounds and seven days of golf that was affected by severe weather, Razorback All-American Jacob Skov Olesen earned his DP World Tour card at DP World Tour Qualifying School Final Stage at Infinitum Golf Resort in Tarragona, Spain (Nov. 8-13).
Olesen posted rounds of 65-71-70-66-65-73 to shoot 18-under for the week and finish T18. He made it interesting in the final round, recording bogeys on holes No. 14 and 15 to fall on the cutline number of 18-under, but three pars on holes No. 16, 17, and 18 to close his championship helped him be one of 21 to secure cards.
This past summer, Olesen became the first Dane to win the Amateur Championship. Later, he made the cut at The Open Championship. Olesen followed that with two successful appearances on the DP World Tour, tying for fifth at the Danish Open Championship and placing 74th at the Omega European Masters. He was exempt into the second round of Q School qualifying and advanced to the final stage after tying for fourth in stage two.
