Pavlechova Earns Singles Win on Day Two at K-State Invitational

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Four members of the Arkansas women’s team completed their second day at the K-State Invitational with Katarina Pavlechova picking up the lone win for the Razorbacks across singles and doubles play. The format for Saturday consisted of one round of singles and one round of doubles matches.

Pavlechova collected her second singles victory of the weekend and fourth win overall after defeating Maria Santos (Kansas State) 6-3, 6-1. Jimena Gomez Alonso, Morgan McCarthy and Lilitha Ndungane all dropped their singles matches in straight sets on Saturday.

Ndungane and Pavlechova teamed up again in doubles play, falling to Garakani/Kulhava (Kansas State), 2-6. Gomez Alonso and McCarthy dropped their only doubles match of the day to Pretorius/San Martin (Iowa State), 2-6.

The Hogs finish play at the K-State Invitational tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. CT.
