Podojils Land on United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Team

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –  The Arkansas soccer team had two Hogs placed on the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region teams. Senior forward Anna Podojil was named to the first team while her sister, junior midfielder Ellie Podojil, landed on the third team.

A. Podojil is making her third career appearance on the first team. This season, she set new career program records in goals (45), points (119) and game-winning goals (15). She was named national player of the week by USC, SEC Offensive Player of the Week, and earned a spot on Top Drawer Soccer’s Team of the Week on Sept. 13 after she scored three goals and recorded one assist against No. 13 BYU and Grand Canyon.

E. Podojil is making her first career appearance after starting in 21 of 22 matches for the Hogs. She netted her first career goal in Arkansas’ first win of the season (at Oklahoma, Aug. 25) and notched her first career assist against Vanderbilt on Oct. 9.
