LAST TIME OUT

  • In a battle of top-15 programs, No. 10 Arkansas fell to the No. 13 Kentucky Wildcats, 75-64, at Memorial Coliseum on New Years Eve.
  • The loss was characterized by the Razorbacks’ inability to make the three-ball.
  • Arkansas averages over 10 made threes per game this season, shooting over 38 percent from behind the arc on the year. But the Hogs managed just five three-pointers, shooting 24 percent from deep, in Thursday’s losing effort.
  • Despite the season-low point total, four Razorbacks still scored in double figures, led by Redshirt senior Chelsea Dungee, who scored 20 points.
  • Dungee recorded 20+ points for the fourth time this season and 35th time in her Arkansas career.
  • The Razorback defense forced 16 turnovers and held the Wildcats to their fourth-lowest point total of the season.
  • Redshirt sophomore Erynn Barnum notched 11 points and five boards off the bench on 5-6 shooting in 21 minutes.
  • Arkansas held the lead for over 14 minutes of game time and won the offensive rebound battle.

STORYLINES

  • Chelsea Dungee continues to score the ball well during her redshirt senior season.
  • She leads the Razorbacks in scoring this season, averaging 19.0 points per game.
  • Because of her ability to score, Dungee is already starting to approach rarefied air in terms of career scoring numbers.
  • Her 1,734 total career points already has her fifth in program history, while her 1,490 point total from two years plus at Arkansas alone already has her in the Top-10 on the school’s all-time scoring list.
  • Dungee dropped her first 20+ point game of the season against FGCU, going for 25. She also went for 22 against No. 4 Baylor, a season-high 26 against UCA, and 20 against Kentucky.
  • Dungee has scored 20+ in 35 of her 79 games since arriving in Fayetteville. With her 38 against Mizzou last season, Dungee has now scored 30 or more in eight games wearing the Red & White.
  • Redshirt sophomore forward Erynn Barnum joins Marquesha Davis off the bench to form a great 1-2 punch off the pine.
  • Barnum registered her first double-double of the season against UAPB, going for 13 points and 10 rebounds.
  • E also leads the team in blocks despite her reserve role, swatting 15 of them in 11 games played.
  • Her 9.3 PPG average is fifth on the squad.
  • She reached double-figures again against Kentucky, going for 11 points on 5/6 shooting.
