LAST TIME OUT

  • Arkansas dominated its way to its second straight win on Sunday, beating Vanderbilt, 100-66, in Memorial Gymnasium.
  • With the win, the Hogs snapped a 12-game losing streak in Memorial Gymnasium, winning in the Commodores’ gym for the first time since 2001.
  • The Hog attack was once again led by senior guard Alexis Tolefree, who put up a career-best 25 points against the Commodores on an ultra-efficient 9-of-14 clip from the field.
  • Sophomore guard Rokia Doumbia also turned in a career-best performance, posting her first-career double-double, going for 13 points while also snaring 10 rebounds.
  • Joining Tolefree and Doumbia in double-figures were Amber Ramirez (18) and Chelsea Dungee (12).
  • A close game in the first quarter, Arkansas broke this one wide open in the second, using a barrage of three-balls to stretch the lead out to as much
as 21 in the first half.
  • Arkansas went on a devastating 28-10 run in the second, getting contributions from Tolefree, Dungee, Ramirez and Erynn Barnum.
  • The Hogs came out of the halftime break even more locked in, outscoring the Commodores 33-11 in the third period.
  • Doumbia scored 13 points as part of her double-double, a career-high for her in points scored.
  • The sophomore guard also drilled all three of her three-point attempts.
  • Freshman center Destinee Oberg scored her first points as a Hog, going for four points. She also pulled down four rebounds.

STORYLINES

  • The Razorbacks put on a historic offensive show at Vanderbilt.
  • The 100 points the Hogs scored in Memorial Gymnasium on Sunday was the first 100-point game for Arkansas on the road in nearly 30 years, as they last did so against Baylor back in 1991 (3/6/1991).
  • A large part of the Hogs’ 100-point performance was the team’s three-point shooting.
  • The Hogs made 15 in the game (15-26), a new program record in a SEC game. That was despite going 0-5 in the first period.
  • Arkansas was especially explosive in the third period, scoring 33 points, the third time this year in which they scored 30+ in a single quarter.
  • The Hogs shot 52.7 percent (39-74) from the field, their best shooting percentage in a regular season SEC game since 2012, when they shot 60 percent against Ole Miss (3/3/13, 36-60).
  • The Hogs shot 57.7 percent (15-26) from three, their best percentage in a game in which they attempted 10+ threes since 2013, when they went 11-19 (57.9) against Sam Houston State.
  • Redshirt junior guard Amber Ramirez has been filling it up from deep this season so far.
  •  She matched her season-high against Auburn, pouring in seven treys (7-14).
  • She also went a perfect 6-6 from the field against Vandy (4-4 from three), the first time a Razorback didn’t miss a shot while attempting six or more since Kiara Williams did so against Houston (3/20/19).
  • Ramirez has already made 64 treys this season, the fourth-best mark in the NCAA, and tops in the SEC.
  • Ramirez has also been remarkably efficient from distance despite the volume of shots she has put up from beyond.
  • She is shooting at a .460 percent clip from deep, the 9th-best mark in the NCAA.
  • Ramirez has been special to start the conference schedule, as her hot shooting has her sixth in the SEC in points per game through four contests (17.0).

SCOUTING GEORGIA

  • Three of Georgia’s seven losses this season have come against teams currently ranked in the top-10 of both the Associated Press and Coaches polls (No. 1/2 Baylor, No. 9 Mississippi State and No. 10 UCLA).
  • Georgia head coach Joni Taylor owns a 5-1 record against Arkansas during her head coaching career. The Lady Bulldogs have won five of the last six and 13 of the last 15 meetings against the Razorbacks. Overall, Georgia is 34-6 against Arkansas, including a 16-3 mark in Fayetteville.
  • The Bulldogs are led by junior guard Gabby Connally, who leads the squad in both points per game (12.1) and total assists (67).
  • Connally’s consistency has been key for Georgia all season, as she has scored in double-figures in 17 of her last 23 games.
  • Redshirt junior Jenna Staiti leads the Dawgs on the boards, pulling down a team-high 5.7 per game. She has posted three double-doubles so far this season.
  • It will be a contrast of styles on Thursday night, as Georgia is fourth in scoring defense in SEC-only games (62.0), while the Hogs are second in scoring offense (87.0).
  • A large part of the Dawgs’ defense is their ability to block shots, as they have averaged 5.2 per game in conference play, good for third in the league.
