Razorbacks Finish Play at ITA All-American Championships
TULSA, Okla. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team completed their run at the ITA All-American Championships with the conclusion of the prequalifying draws at Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Božo Barun took the court in the singles consolation draw as the only Razorback in action after the cancelation of nearly all the doubles consolation draw matches due to rain. Barun, Benni Emesz, Connor Smillie and Jakub Vrba were scheduled to play their final matches in Tulsa this afternoon before the weather delay.
Barun faced Middle Tennessee’s Karim Al-Amin and claimed the opening set 7-5 to start the match. However, Al-Amin fought back to win the second set 6-3 before closing out the match by securing the final set 6-4 to defeat Barun.
The Hogs have nearly a month off before their next competition at the ITA Central Region Championships in Tulsa, Okla., from Oct. 16-20.
