Razorbacks Host 7th Annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational, presented by Tyson Foods
FAYETTEVILLE – The 7th annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational, presented by Tyson Foods, is set for this weekend (Oct. 3-5; Sat-Mon) and, while preserving one key aspect, will have a new look from previous years.
The BCI, played at Blessing Golf Club, was a trend-setter by having both men’s and women’s teams playing the same course at the same time. That feature will continue this year.
However, two key changes will be in effect this year.
- The men’s and women’s fields will have different teams. In the past, the same schools played on both the men’s and women’s side with a combined team and individual champion being crowned. This year, only North Texas and Kansas State, along with the Razorbacks, will have both men’s and women’s teams in the 18-team field (9 men and 9 women).
- In the past, all five players from each school would play the same hole as a fivesome. This year, the format will reflect a traditional event. There will be three players from different schools per group and the five players will be spread out over consecutive groups.
The men’s field for the 2026 BCI includes Arkansas, Kansas State, Little Rock, Middle Tennessee State, Nebraska, UNC Greensboro, North Texas, Oral Roberts and Southern Miss.
The Razorbacks, which won its season opener and are coming off a runner-up finish earlier in the week, have won the BCI three times (2021, 2023 and 2025). Also in those years, a Razorback won the individual title (Luke Long in ’21, John Driscoll II in ’23 and John Daly II in ’25).
Arkansas will have all nine of its players participate. Thomas Curry, Erich Fortlage, Gerardo Gomez, Lev Grinberg and Niilo Maki-Petaja will play for the team score. Four Razorbacks – Neo Berg, Willie Gordon, Guus Lafeber and Cam Smith – with play as individuals while playing in the same foursome.
Admission and parking are free.
