Razorbacks Sign Top Transfer Ebba Liljeberg
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas women’s golf head coach Shauna Taylor has announced the addition of Ebba Liljeberg, the top-ranked player in the transfer portal and a member of the 2025-26 WGCA All-Freshman Team and All-SEC Freshman Team.
Liljeberg comes to Fayetteville after having the best rookie season in the Missouri program’s history, which put her at No. 66 in the final Scoreboard player rankings. During the 2025-26 season, she posted a 71.48 scoring average, over 1.5 strokes lower than any previous Tiger freshman, and won one event with four top-three finishes.
“We are so excited to add Ebba Liljeberg to our team,” Taylor said. “We knew when the transfer portal opened that we wanted to add a player who could help us continue the momentum of our record-breaking season. Ebba and I had many great conversations over the past several days and I knew she possessed the qualities that we wanted in adding a new family member. She comes in with a ton of experience and is coming off a very good freshman season. She elevates Arkansas Women’s Golf even more and can’t wait for August so we can get started again!”
The Helsingborg, Sweden native’s win came in her collegiate debut at the Sam Golden Invitational. During the event, she matched the record for NCAA’s lowest 18-hole score to par at 11-under (61) and shattered the tournament’s 54-hole scoring record at 19-under (66-61-70).
She finished third at the Johnie Imes Invitational, tied for third at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, and placed third at the Westbrook Invitational after posting a 54-hole score of 204 to help lead her team to medalist honors.
Liljeberg has experience at Blessings and started the 2025 Blessings Collegiate Invitational. She finished inside the top 30 at 18-over in an event that saw just two players under par.
The rookie had a strong postseason, with top 30 finishes in all three events: T16 at the SEC Championship, T19 at the NCAA Stanford Regional and T30 at the NCAA Championship.
Prior to joining the Tigers, Liljeberg enjoyed success as a junior golfer in Sweden. In 2024, she captured the Annika Sörenstam Trophy as the winner of the Swedish Junior Tour Order of Merit and claimed the Swedish Junior Match Play Championship. She also won the Swedish Junior Championship and set the course record at the PGA Junior Championship at Landskrona Golfklubb with a 5-under 67.
Internationally, Liljeberg helped Sweden earn a medal at the Nordic Team Championship and collected multiple medals at the Swedish club and junior club championships.
Her mother, Maria (Brink), was an All-American at Tulsa under legendary head coach Dale McNamara before playing professionally on the Ladies European Tour.
Arkansas is coming off its first-ever semifinal appearance at the NCAA Championship and finished fifth in the Scoreboard team rankings.
