Razorbacks Take on Tigers Wednesday in Columbia

After 10 days off, the Razorback volleyball team returns to action Wednesday evening with a midweek away match against the Missouri Tigers at 7 p.m.

Both teams are coming off of five-set losses, Arkansas to Georgia and Missouri to LSU. The Hogs are currently 15-8 overall and 6-7 in the SEC, and the Tigers are 8-15, 1-12 in league play.

Wednesday’s contest will be broadcast live on SEC Network, Arkansas’ fourth consecutive match on the linear channel.

Last Time Out
Arkansas battled back from a 2-1 deficit against the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens on Nov. 6, but ultimately fell in a five-set heartbreaker. Senior outside hitter Jill Gillen returned to action after she missed four matches recently due to injury and registered 11 kills. Junior Taylor Head led the offense with 19 kills, and sophomore setter Hannah Hogue tallied a double-double with 26 assists and 15 digs.

Scouting the Series: Missouri

  • The Hogs have not visited Columbia in over two years
  • Tigers got their first SEC win of the season over Auburn on Oct. 16
  • Arkansas outranks Missouri in every statis- tical category among SEC teams, currently ranked top three in hitting percentage (.261), assists/set (12.80), kills/set (13.70) and digs/set (14.75)
