LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Arkansas men’s cross country team finished third at the SEC Cross Country Championships at Kentucky Horse Park Saturday afternoon.
The consummate No. 1 for Arkansas this season, Matt Young led the way for Arkansas, posting a top-10 finish with a seventh-place showing running 23:09.30. Young earned First-team All-SEC honors for his performance on the course.
True-freshman Myles Richter finished the day as the Razorback’s No. 2 taking 18th-place with a time of 23:27.90.
Rounding out the top-five for Arkansas were Ryan Murphy (23:49.40), Preston Cates (23:58.00), and Carter Persyn (24:10.50) in 27th, 33rd, and 42nd-place, respectively.
As a team, Arkansas was third with a total score of 121-points.

Arkansas will take a two-week break from action before returning to the course Nov. 15 in Fayetteville for the NCAA South Central Regional.
