2023 ITA Scholar-Athlete
Sophomore (2023-24)
During her second year at Arkansas, McCarthy collected records of 0-5 in singles and 2-1 in doubles. At the SMU Fall Invite, McCarthy and Katie Ferguson picked up two doubles victories over Lin/Sadler (Washington/Kansas) and Patel/Skelton (SMU).
Freshman (2022-23)
In her rookie season, McCarthy posted a 3-10 overall record in the fall season. At the ITA Central Regional Championship, McCarthy advanced to the Consolation – Round of 32 where she defeated Southern Illinois’ Melissa Vizcardo 6-0, 7-6 to end the tournament.
Prior to Arkansas
Morgan competed internationally prior to coming to Arkansas, ranking 555 in the ITF singles rankings. Morgan won the ITF J4 Doubles Titles this past year and has had six semi-finals and two finals appearances in the ITF J4 and J5.
Personal
A Delray Beach, FL native, Morgan is the daughter to Charles and Shannon McCarthy. Her father, Charles, was a Navy Seal. Besides tennis, Morgan considers herself a foodie! Her favorite athlete is Nick Kyrgios and the person she most admires is her mom. Morgan is majoring in Psychology at the University of Arkansas and plans to go to medical school and become a plastic surgeon.
