Made 23 appearances in the circle including four starts…pitched in 40.2 innings overall…registered three or more innings in five appearances including a best of 4.2 innings against UNLV (March 18) during the Easton Tournament…picked up first career win after a two-inning relief appearance in game one of a doubleheader at Southeast Missouri (April 6)…season-high two strikeouts against Army West Point (Feb. 20) during the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
Before Arkansas
Carter was a three-time all-state and all-conference pitcher for Paragould High School in Arkansas. Through the first three seasons of her prep career, she owned a 79-17 record in the circle with 860 strikeouts including a school-record 352 strikeouts as a freshman. At the plate, she tallied 106 RBI entering her senior year. Carter helped the Rams to a pair of conference titles and as a junior, helped lead the team to the state semifinals. Paragould was also a state quarterfinalist in 2012 and 2013. Carter played travel ball for Arkansas Heat.
