Soccer Announces Transfer Additions

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The reigning SEC champions continue to reload as the Arkansas soccer program picked up four transfers ahead of the 2024 season. The additions include midfielder Ella Rogers (Xavier), defender Kelsey Oyler (Gonzaga), forward Jordan Hall (Arizona) and defender Dejionee Anderson (Daytona State).

Dejionee Anderson | D | Sophomore | Passagefort, Jamaica | Excelsior HS/Daytona State

  • Started in 18 matches in two seasons at Daytona State
  • Netted two goals as a defender this past season
  • Has experience with the U15 and U17 Jamaican National Teams
  • Named her high school’s Sportswoman of the Year in 2019

Hale on Anderson: “D is a central defender who we believe has her best soccer ahead of her. She is an imposing presence, communicates well, and has elite athleticism and tenacity.”

Why she chose Arkansas: “I chose Arkansas because the school aligns with my goals in soccer and education. The program here has been great over the years and will increase my likelihood of succeeding and getting to the next level. I want to experience a new environment away from Florida that feels like home and I think Arkansas is definitely the one.”

Jordan Hall | F | Senior | Dacula, Ga. | Archer HS/Arizona

  • Started in 30 matches at Arizona and recorded 2,917 minutes in four seasons
  • Played in all 13 matches in 2023 and recorded one goal on nine shots
  • Netted four goals and notched two assists in her sophomore season
  • Started in five matches for the Wildcats as a freshman
  • Set high school record for most goals in a season with 34 goals in 12 matches
  • Mom, Kathy Freeman, ran track for the United States and ranked ninth in the world in 1989-1990.

Hale on Hall: “Jordan is a versatile player with four years of Power 5 experience. She is a fierce competitor with plenty of tools. We are excited to get her here and help her keep growing.”

Why she chose Arkansas: “I chose Arkansas because I wanted to be closer to home for my fifth year and I’ve always loved the SEC and its competitive atmosphere. Arkansas seems like a great environment to grow as a player and a person. The school’s grad program seems like an excellent fit for the path I want to take academically. The program exudes a winning mentality from the staff to the players and has the proof to show for it. The support from the Razorback community is admirable.”

Kelsey Oyler | D | Junior | Meridian, Idaho | Rocky Mountain HS/Gonzaga

  • Started in all 20 matches for the Bulldogs in 2023 and recorded 1,622 minutes
  • Named the first United Soccer Coaches All-American in Gonzaga history following her junior campaign
  • Sits atop the Bulldogs’ record book in career assists (21) and single-season assists (12)
  • Led the West Coast Conference with 12 assists and named All-WCC First Team in 2023
  • Finished 2023 ranked No. 73 in TopDrawerSoccer’s Postseason Top 100 Players list
  • Started in all 54 matches over three seasons with the Zags
  • Won three Idaho state championships at Rocky Mountain High School and named the Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year in 2020 and 2021

Ella Rogers | MF | Junior | Granville, Ohio | Granville HS/Xavier

  • Started in all 22 matches in her junior season
  • Had four assists in the 2022 campaign when Xavier went undefeated in conference play to win the Big East
  • Led the Musketeers to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances and a No. 11 ranking in the United Soccer Coaches poll in 2021.
  • Named the 2021 Big East Freshman of the Year after leading Xavier to a Big East regular season title
  • Also named to the Big East All-Freshman Team and All-Big East Second Team in 2021
  • Brother, Coury, played golf at Otterbein University
