
Soccer Cruises Through First Two Spring Matches
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas women’s soccer is halfway through its slate of spring exhibitions after shutting out both Central Arkansas and John Brown this month.
Next month, the Hogs will travel to Oklahoma State on April 12 and host Seminole State on April 19 for the final spring match.
UCA Highlights
The Razorbacks visited Conway on March 7 and shut out the Bears 5-0. Taylor Berman netted two goals and other scorers included Zoe Susi, Erin Bailey and Bella Field. Susi opened the match in the second minute with a strike from outside the 18-yard box and Field doubled Arkansas’ lead in the 15th minute with header off of Kennedy Ball’s free kick.
Bailey, a transfer from BYU, scored a free-kick goal from the top of the penalty box to make it 3-0 in the 18th minute. Berman, a top performer in previous spring campaigns, scored two goals within 20 minutes of each other.

JBU Highlights
The Hogs, battling high winds on Friday night at Razorback Field, continued their scorching start with five goals in the first 20 minutes against John Brown thanks to a brace from Field and a hat-trick from early-enrollee Vailana Tu’ua.
Tu’ua, a native of Redondo Beach, California, scored her first goal of the match just six minutes in. Ten minutes later, Field scored back-to-back goals in a matter of seconds and put Arkansas ahead 3-0 early. Nearly five minutes later, Tu’ua scored back-to-back goals to earn the hat-trick.
The Razorbacks’ slowed down the pace for the remainder of the match but added two goals, from Ainsley Erzen in the 43rd minute and freshman Molly Teed in the 56th minute.
Keegan Smith, Peyton Whipple and Zoe Anderson put minutes in between the sticks for Arkansas but the trio did not get tested by the Golden Eagles

The Hogs starting lineup against JBU consisted of Keegan Smith, Ainsley Erzen, Makenzie Malham, Avery Wren, Ella Riley, Cora Hair, Zoe Susi, Kennedy Ball, Erin Bailey, Bella Field and Vailana Tu’ua.

Arkansas will return to the pitch on April 12 at Oklahoma State. The two teams faced off in the first round of last year’s NCAA Tournament. The Hogs advanced, 4-0.
