Soccer shuts out TCU in spring exhibition match

Arkansas soccer played its second of four exhibition matches this spring, defeating TCU 2-0 at Razorback Field today.

The Hogs got on the board 23 minutes into the match after a goal from sophomore midfielder Ellie Podojil. Junior Bea Franklin notched the assist and later scored the Hogs’ second and final goal in the 57th minute.

The Razorbacks will return to the pitch on Saturday, April 9, facing Iowa in St. Louis, Missouri.

Arkansas’ last match of the spring will take place on Saturday, April 23 at Razorback Field. The Hogs will take on the Oklahoma Sooners in a closed scrimmage.

Hear it from Coach Hale

“We got a lot out of that first match versus TCU. We knew we had to win some of the areas we didn’t win last time. They exposed us in a lot of ways but there was definite progress and growth. We will take some more lessons and keep growing.”
