Soccer Draws Missouri, 1-1, at Razorback Field
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas women’s soccer (4-4-3, 2-1-2 SEC) finished the halfway point of SEC play with a 1-1 draw against Missouri (3-7-2, 0-4-1 SEC) on Friday night at Razorback Field.
Both teams scored in the middle of the second half, with Arkansas taking the lead in the 65th minute and Missouri tying it up in the 72nd minute.
Sophomore forward Vailana Tu’ua netted her second goal of the year after taking a ball over the top from forward Natalie Wagner and putting it past Tigers goalkeeper Riley Wilkerson after one touch.
Missouri defender Taryn Chance scored the game-tying goal, her first of the season, at the top of the 18-yard box after cleaning up a blocked shot from midfielder Alyssa Bryant. Chance’s left-footed shot sailed past Arkansas goalkeeper Keegan Smith into the far post.
The Hogs nearly won in the final seconds, but Kyndal Ewertz’s header in from a corner kick was disallowed for goalkeeper interference.
Arkansas outshot the Tigers, 17-15, and both teams had six shots on frame. The Hogs took nine corners.
The Razorbacks’ unbeaten streak against the SEC at Razorback Field extended to 30 matches, dating back to 2020.
