Soccer Opens Home Slate with Arkansas State

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –Arkansas soccer (1-1-0) will finally play at Razorback Field. The Hogs are set to host Arkansas State (1-1-1) on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 1 p.m. and the match will be televised live on SEC Network.

The Razorbacks and Red Wolves will meet for the second time on the pitch. Arkansas took the first game, 2-1, in Jonesboro on March 20, 2021. Defender Bryana Hunter and forward Anna Podojil provided the offense for the Hogs.

The two squads also met on April 10, 2021, for an exhibition match at Razorback Field.

Arkansas State is led by Sun Belt Preseason All-Conference forward Aliyah Williamson and was picked to finish second in the league’s western division. The Red Wolves are coming off a 1-1 tie against Northwestern State.

The Hogs look to continue their home dominance, where they own a 45-8-2 record dating back to 2016.
