Soccer Ranked No. 1 for First Time Ever

FAYETTEVILLE – The Arkansas soccer program enters week seven as the No. 1 team in the country for the first time in program history, per TopDrawerSoccer’s top 25 poll released on Monday.

The Hogs (7-0-1, 2-0-0 SEC) also moved up to No. 2 in the United Soccer Coaches poll, released on Tuesday. Both rankings are the highest in program history for each poll.

“This week’s No. 1 ranking is further validation that Razorback Soccer has become one of the most respected programs in collegiate soccer,” Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Hunter Yurachek said. “What Coach Colby Hale has done in his time with our program is transformational. I know that Coach Hale and his team are focused on winning a conference championship and advancing to the College Cup. However, this week’s ranking is notable and worth celebrating as a milestone in our program’s history.”

The top-ranked Hogs will face Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn. on Thursday, Sept. 26.
