Stadium policies announced for game day

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –-Arkansas opens its 2008 football season on Saturday at 6 p.m. against Western Illinois in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

The following information should answer many questions for fans regarding stadium policies. The list of policies and rules is available online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com. The information is located on the “Fans” page in the dropdown menu under Fan Guide.

Of special note this season, per the university’s recently adopted campus wide tobacco-free policy, no tobacco use is allowed either inside or outside the stadium.

In conjunction with the new university policy and existing Southeastern Conference policies prohibiting re-entry to the stadium after exiting, the no re-entry policy will be strictly enforced this season. Fans will not be allowed to exit the stadium and then return for any reason without utilizing a new un-used game ticket.

The list of prohibited items in the stadium includes alcohol, outside food and beverages, backpacks and large bags, containers and thermoses, ice chests, video cameras, chairbacks wider than 16 inches, strollers, umbrellas, noisemakers, bells, whistles, horns and laser pointers.

Other policies include not tolerating rowdy, threatening, unsafe or inappropriate conduct, including profane, racial, sexist, abusive or intimidating comments or actions, fighting, smoking, drunkenness and throwing of any object in the stadium. Any of the above can result in ejection, arrest and/or loss of ticket privileges.

Anyone entering the sideline or field areas without proper credentials will be arrested.

The university reserves the right to remove the ticket holder from the premises if, in the sole discretion of security personnel, the ticket holder’s conduct endangers or disrupts the environment.

Everyone must have a ticket, regardless of age, to enter the stadium.

Fan shuttles from Baum Stadium and handicap shuttles from Lot 56 begin running four hours prior to kickoff. The team walk into the stadium and the pep rally in the AT&T Trough area are both two hours before kickoff. Schedules are subject to change based on game time.
