Evan Johnston - Women's Basketball - Arkansas Razorbacks

Evan Johnston

Evan Johnston enters his third season as the video coordinator for Arkansas Women’s Basketball. A dedicated and detail-oriented member of the Razorback program, Johnston rejoined the staff in 2023 after a one-year stint as a graduate assistant at Missouri during the 2022–23 season.

Johnston began his career in collegiate athletics as a student manager and practice player for Arkansas from 2018 to 2022, where he played an integral role in day-to-day operations, assisted in player development and workouts, and video coordination. His efforts earned him a position at Missouri, where he expanded his impact on player development, film analysis, scouting reports, and recruiting support in another competitive SEC environment.

Throughout his career, Johnston has contributed to the success and development of numerous high-level student-athletes. He has worked with four SEC All-Freshman Team selections — Taliah Scott (2023–24), Ashton Judd (2022–23), Samara Spencer (2021–22 SEC Freshman of the Year), and Jersey Wolfenbarger (2021–22). In total, he has supported seven All-Conference selections, including Hayley Frank (2022–23), Amber Ramirez (2021–22), Chelsea Dungee (2018–21), Destiny Slocum (2020–21), and Alexis Tolefree (2019–20). He has also been part of the development of four All-Americans: Chelsea Dungee (2019–21), Destiny Slocum (2020–21), and Izzy Higginbottom (2024–25).

In his current role, Johnston leads all video and scouting operations for the Razorbacks, producing in-depth analytics and data for scouting reports, film edits, strategic analysis to support the coaching staff, and high school and transfer portal player evaluations. His behind-the-scenes contributions have played a key role in preparing players and coaches for success at the highest level of college basketball.
