Did You Know: Mat competed in the decathlon and heptathlon as a student-athlete at Northern Iowa … Was a three-time All-American (heptathlon, 2008, decathlon 2008 & 2009) and seven-time Missouri Valley All-Conference performer, including 2009 conference champion in the decathlon … Competed in 2008 Olympic Trials in the decathlon … Was a two-time, first-team Academic All-America (2008, 2009) and was a 2009 NCAA postgraduate scholarship winner

Favorite Razorback Moment: Jarrion Lawson winning the 100, 200, and long jump at the NCAA outdoor championships in 2016.
