The Hogs Conclude Play at ITA All-American Championships

Cary, N.C. – Two Razorbacks competed this past weekend at the ITA All-American Championships at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.

On Saturday, the Hogs picked up two singles wins, starting with Jimena Gomez, who defeated Michela Moore in a three-set match. After dropping the first set, Gomez came back to win the next two sets, 6-7, 6-3, 6-2. Alex Panagiotidou came out on top against Chloe Lomans in a three-set battle, 4-6, 7-6, 6-4.

During day two of competition, Jimena Gomez fell to No. 9 Yleymi Muelle 6-3, 6-3 concluding her run in Cary, N.C. Meanwhile in singles play, Alex Panagiotidou took down No. 21 Aya Manning, 7-5, 6-2. Later that day, Alex Panagiotidou was defeated by Patricija Paukstyte, 6-0, 6-1.

The Hogs finished the weekend with three singles wins, highlighted by Panagiotidou’s win against No. 21 Aya Manning. Both Gomez and Panagiotidou advanced past their opening matches before their run at ITA All-American Championships concluded on Sunday. The pair of Hogs fell in their matches on Sunday: Gomez 6-3, 6-3, and Panagiotidou 6-0, 6-1.
