Tickets on sale for NCAA West First Rounds hosted by Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE – Tickets for the NCAA West First Rounds hosted by Arkansas from May 22-25 are now available through the Razorback Ticket Office.

This is the second time in the past three seasons for Arkansas to serve as host of the NCAA West meet that qualifies individuals and relay teams to the NCAA Championships held in Eugene, Oregon, from June 5-8.

The four-day competition takes place at John McDonnell Field on the University of Arkansas campus. Men compete on Wednesday and Friday, while women compete on Thursday and Saturday.

$40 – All-session adult
$35 – All-session youth (17 and under), college student and senior citizens
$15 – Single day adult
$10 – Single day youth, college student and senior citizens

Athletes who rank among the top 48 in their respective event earn a berth into the NCAA West First Rounds. In addition, the best 24 relays times advance to the NCAA preliminaries.

Athletes with the top 12 times/marks and the best 12 relay teams at both the East and West First Rounds sites will qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

The decathlon and heptathlon will not be held during the NCAA First Rounds. Instead, the top 24 decathlon and heptathlon scores in the nation earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Championship site.

Razorback Home Outdoor Meets

Arkansas hosts its first outdoor meet of the season this Saturday, April 6, with the Arkansas Spring Invitational. The Razorbacks will host the John McDonnell Invitational on Thursday and Friday, April 18-19. Then the Arkansas Twilight will be held on Friday, May 3.

Events at the Arkansas Spring Invitational this Saturday include free admission for all children 17 and under. Tickets can be claimed at a tent near the main entrance of the track facility in the Northwest corner.

A Junior Razorback Kid Zone will be available during the Arkansas Spring Invitational from 1 to 5 p.m. in the green area of the Northeast corner of the venue. Open to all, the Kid Zone will include a bounce house, face painter, balloon twister and additional yard games.

The Fastest Kid in Fayetteville will be determined during the John McDonnell Invitational with children 5-12 years old open to participate. Registration is free, which will include kids free admission and Fastest Kid in Fayetteville t-shirt.
