Two Top 10 Matchups Await Razorbacks at Barnhill This Weekend

Arkansas volleyball concludes a four-match homestand this weekend with its toughest competition of the season as No. 9 Tennessee and No. 4 Kentucky come to town.

It all starts on Friday with the Lady Vols, who haven’t come to Fayetteville since the 2022 season. Tennessee is 3-1 on the road in 2026 to go along with its 12-3 overall record, and 3-2 in the SEC. The Lady Vols check in to the top five in the SEC in all but two statistical categories and are in the top half of the conference in all. Tennessee is first in kills/set at 14.56, which is also good for second nationally. The Lady Vols have dropped just five sets in SEC play and their last three matches have been sweeps.

The Razorbacks then take on the Wildcats on Sunday, who are on a two-matching winning streak. Kentucky’s only three losses of the season have come at the hands of top 10 teams, and each went at least four sets. The Hogs haven’t defeated the Wildcats at Barnhill since the 2012 season, and Arkansas only has three home wins all-time against Kentucky. The Wildcats lead the SEC in assists/set at 13.51 and are top five in hitting percentage (.271) and kills per set (14.42). They travel to Norman, Okla. to face the Sooners on Friday – who defeated both Texas and Texas A&M last week – before heading to Fayetteville.

Arkansas got its first win of the SEC slate in a big way on Sunday after the Hogs took down then-No. 12 and reigning national champion Texas A&M. The Hogs took a tough then-top 10 Texas team to four sets last Friday, and each of the Razorbacks’ five SEC matches so far have gone to at least four. The Razorbacks are 9-7 overall on the season, 4-2 at home.

Friday’s match is set for 7 p.m. and Sunday’s at 2 p.m. at Barnhill Arena. Sunday will be the team’s annual Pink Match for cancer awareness. Tickets for both matchups are available online, by phone, or in person via Razorback Ticket Center, and each will also be streamed live on SEC Network+.
