Udwadia Announces Signings of Palovic, Vrba

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Head coach Jay Udwadia announced Lukas Palovic (Spring 2024) and Jakub Vrba (Fall 2024) have signed National Letters of Intent and are set to join the Razorback men’s tennis team.

Palovic comes to Arkansas from Slovakia with career-high ATP Rankings of No. 867 in singles and No. 905 in doubles along with a career-high ITF Junior Ranking of No. 102. Palovic has recorded 21 singles victories in ITF events this year and comes off a successful year in 2022, winning 46 of his 71 singles matches played. During his time competing in ITF Juniors events, Palovic won eight doubles titles and one singles title with the most recent coming in 2020 at the J3 Oberhaching in doubles with Lukas Pokorny.

Vrba comes to Fayetteville from the Czech Republic and will join the Razorbacks next fall. Vrba holds a career-high ITF Junior Ranking of No. 403 and posted a 25-11 singles record in 2022 alongside a 27-9 doubles record over the last two years in ITF Junior tournaments. Vrba captured his fourth ITF Juniors doubles title at the J100 Prague in August.
