COLUMBUS, Ga. – No. 12 Arkansas women’s golf continued its fall season with a top-3 showing at this week’s Haskins Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Columbus (72) in Columbus, Georgia.

After a slow start in the first two rounds on Monday, Arkansas responded with a 4-under 284, its best round of the season, in Tuesday’s final round to jump four spots on the leaderboard.

Sophomore Sara Brentcheneff led the way with her third straight top-5 finish at tied for third. The Lyon, France native shot 68-72-69 to record her lowest 54-hole score to par at 7-under.

The Razorbacks also had a strong showing from freshman Melliyal Schmitt playing in just her second collegiate tournament. Schmitt opened the event with a 69 and remained under par the rest of the way, finishing at 5-under and tied for fourth.
