Women's Tennis Concludes Prequalifying Action at ITA All-American Championships

CARY, N.C. – Three members of the Arkansas women’s tennis team continued play at the ITA All-American Championships with the conclusion of prequalifying draw action at Cary Tennis Park.

Koskel took the court first again for the Razorbacks after her opening round win yesterday in the singles draw. Koskel’s run in Cary came to an end after a 3-6, 3-6 defeat to Wisconsin’s Alina Mukhortova in the Round of 64. In the consolation draw, Olga Bienzobas cruised past Erika Dimitriev (Northern Illinois), 6-1, 6-0 to earn her lone singles victory at the tournament.

Bienzobas then teamed up with Carolina Gomez Alonso in the Round of 16 of the doubles draw to face No. 81 El Allami/Keita (Columbia) with the Arkansas duo falling in straight sets, 4-6, 0-6. Despite the loss, No. 71 Bienzobas/Gomez Alonso advanced to the qualifying doubles draw and are set to face No. 27 Carnicella/Hamner (South Carolina) tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. CT.

No. 51 Koskel and Grace O’Donnell will join the other Razorback tandem in the doubles draw as they will match up against No. 34 Bissett/Parra Romero (Florida State) at 4 p.m. CT tomorrow afternoon.
