Arkansas Falls at No. 5 UCLA

LOS ANGELES – The Razorback women’s basketball team fell to 3-2 on the season after a 101-52 defeat at No. 5 UCLA (4-0). The fifth-ranked Bruins led the entire game thanks to strong shooting (44%, 37-84) from field goal range.

UCLA started the game with a 15-3 run but the Hogs roared back with a 7-0 run of their own and forced the Bruins to call a timeout. The home team outscored Arkansas 27-9 in the second quarter and had a 57-25 advantage at the half.

Bruins forward Timea Gardiner led all scorers with 23 points and went 7-12 from beyond the arc. Izzy Higginbottom paced the Hogs with a season-low 15 points. Freshman Jada Bates shined from 3 for the Hogs, going 3-7 and registering a season-high 9 points.

Arkansas will return to Bud Walton Arena on Thursday, Nov. 21, and face Oral Roberts (3-1). Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. and the game will be televised on SEC Network with Brenda VanLengen (play-by-play) and Andrea Lloyd (analyst) on the call.
