Britney Hinote Named Head Dance Team Coach

FAYETTEVILLE – Britney Hinote has been named the new head dance team coach at the University of Arkansas, as announced on Thursday.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be the next head dance team coach and take my collegiate career to the next level,” said Hinote. “It is such a privilege to be an Arkansas Razorback, and I can’t wait to work with these dancers to continue building the legacy of this entire spirit program.”

Hinote joins the Razorbacks after spending the past four years as the head dance team coach at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. In the role, she helped rebrand the program and led the team to consistent top 10 placements at the National Dance Collegiate national competition.

Prior to her time at UMKC, Hinote served as the head dance coach at Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas, and was an assistant coach at Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, Kansas. Hinote made an immediate impact at both programs, while helping Shawnee Mission East place as a top contender at the national level.

In conjunction with her time coaching at the high school and collegiate level, Hinote has worked for the National Dance Alliance since 2013. With NDA, she helps facilitate dance camps and competitions across the country, working with thousands of dancers at the middle school, high school and collegiate levels.

Hinote also spent six years as a head coach for the Knockout All-Stars in Lenexa, Kansas. She was a founding member of the studio, as it was the first All-Star Studio in the state, and helped build it to be the reputable program it is today. Hinote has coached numerous dancers across all ages and has competed at The Dance Worlds as a member of the open team.

Coach Hinote serves as a dance team consultant, choreographer and judge for many competitions across the country. Hinote works full-time in talent acquisition and is getting married to her fiancé, Jake Hanson, in the fall of 2023.
