Following a standout collegiate playing career, Paytience Holman arrived in Fayetteville in August of 2024 as a graduate assistant on head coach Courtney Deifel’s coaching staff.
Holman starred in the circle at SEMO from 2020-24 where she recorded 37 wins and five saves during her career while registering 28 complete games, a 3.04 earned run average and 265 strikeouts in 455.1 innings pitched.
A native of Mexico, Mo., Holman finished her career in the Top-10 of the SEMO record books in many statistical categories including, opponent batting average (4th, .251), saves (T-6th, 5), shutouts (10th, 12) and strikeouts (10th, 265).
As a senior, Holman helped guide SEMO to an NCAA Tournament berth and earned Second-Team All-Ohio Valley Conference honors and was an OVC All-Tournament selection after posting a 16-10 record with a 2.41 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 151.1 innings of work.
During her junior campaign, she limited opponents to a .246 batting average while pitching a team-high seven complete games while also earning OVC Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing a complete game one-hit shutout while retiring 15 of her last 16 batters faced in the contest.
Holman earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from SEMO in the spring of 2024.
