Hogs Host Top 10 Battle for Final Home Match

Arkansas is saving one of its best matches at Barnhill Arena this season for last as a showdown of the No. 9 Hogs and No. 10 Kentucky Wildcats is on tap for Wednesday.

Both teams entered the top 10 this week as they continue to have success in their SEC schedules. Kentucky’s only loss in league play happened nearly two months ago as the Cats were swept by Tennessee, while Arkansas will look to give them another and avenge a five-set heartbreaker that broke Kentucky’s way in October.

The Razorbacks and Wildcats each have two regular season matches remaining, with Arkansas sitting at 14-2 in the SEC and Kentucky at 14-1.

Wednesday’s match will be the fifth ranked contest at Barnhill Arena so far this season, and the Hogs are 2-2 in those opportunities.

First serve is set for 7 p.m. CT and the match will be streamed live on SEC Network+. Tickets are available online via the Razorback Ticket Center, or at the door.

Scouting the Series

  • Wednesday is the second meeting of the teams this season, the first a five-set loss for Arkansas
  • While both have 14 conference wins, Tennessee is the lone SEC loss for Kentucky, Arkansas has two, at the hands of the Cats and Georgia Bulldogs
  • The Hogs have never defeated the Wildcats in Jason Watson’s tenure and haven’t done so since 2012, a five-set victory in Fayetteville
