Razorbacks Bounce Back, Matthews in Top-8
CHAPEL HILL, NC – Arkansas Women’s Golf bounced back on day two of the Tar Heel Invitational, firing a four-under round to move up to 11th place. After firing nine-over yesterday, the Hogs currently sit at five-over, six strokes outside the top-ten.
Brooke Matthews’ great tournament continued on Saturday, as she fired a blistering 68 in round two of action, her best round of the 2019-20 season. After two, Matthews is in contention for the individual medal, just two strokes out of first place with her five-under two-round total.
Junior Maria Hoyos also had a great day, firing a season-low of 71 in round two at the Tar Heel. Hoyos currently sits tied for 38th place.
Freshmen Ela Anacona and Julia Gregg also had nice bounce back rounds, as they fired rounds of 73 and 72, respectfully. Anacona is tied for 58th after two while Gregg is tied for 68th.
Mistry, meanwhile, carded a 76 on day two, and is tied for 78th after two.
