Gomez comes to Fayetteville from Spain with a career-high WTA doubles ranking of No. 1195 along with a career-high ITF singles ranking of No. 1307. Gomez recorded four singles wins in events since August 2023, including a third-round finish at the W35 Don Benito in July 2024 in which Gomez collected a victory over Andrea Palazon in the second round. In doubles, Gomez registered three wins over the last two years in ITF events and partnered with her sister and current Razorback Carolina Gomez Alonso.
