The Arkansas softball team improved to 4-1 with a 21-3 (5 inn.) drubbing of Akron during the Razorbacks’ final day of play at the Kickin’ Chicken Classic on Sunday afternoon at St. John Stadium on the campus of Coastal Carolina.

The Arkansas Razorbacks Softball team opened up its season in dominant fashion with a pair of run-rule victories over Virginia (17-1, 5 inn.) and Akron (9-1, 6 inn.), to improve to 2-0 during the first day of the Kickin’ Chicken Classic at St. John Stadium on the campus of Coastal Carolina.

Due to forecasted weather conditions, the No. 8/9 Arkansas Razorbacks softball team’s schedule has been altered on Saturday and Sunday at the Kickin’ Chicken Classic.

No. 8/9 Arkansas opens its 30th season of play and 11th season under the direction of head coach Courtney Deifel in Conway, S.C., at the Kickin’ Chicken Classic, Feb. 6-8.
