Tim Gill joined the University of Arkansas women’s basketball team as the Director of Student-Athlete Development in August 2016.
With the Razorbacks, Gill is responsible for creating and implementing individual development plans to prepare student-athletes for personal, career, academic and athletic success.
In addition, Gill coordinates non-conference scheduling, game contacts and assist with on-campus recruiting for the Razorbacks.
Prior to joining the Razorbacks, Gill worked in marketing and sales in the private sector. Gill was the head coach for OK and 1, Blue Star OK and PWP Gill AAU teams. In that role, he was responsible for all aspects including recruiting, fundraising, coaching and player development. In 2016, 14 of his players singed college basketball scholarships, nine of whom will attend Division I programs.
Gill was a four-year starter (1994-98) for the Oral Roberts men’s basketball team playing for head coach Bill Self. He also played professional basketball for five seasons with Avitos Giessen in Germany and the LaCrosse Bobcats in Wisconsin.
Born in Little Rock, Gill moved to Oklahoma in 1990 and earned his bachelor’s degree from ORU in 2001, and was inducted into the Golden Eagles Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012.
Gill and wife DeAnna share their lives with daughters Kaylonna and Aundria Gill and son Dwayne Bell. Kaylonna is a senior at Tulsa, while Aundria will be a freshman on the soccer team at Northeastern State.
