Tricia Matysak, Razorback Athletics’ head trainer for Olympic sports, has been with the University of Arkansas since 2009.
Matysak oversees the management of Olympic sports such as cross country and track and field along with swimming and diving, volleyball, soccer and softball. She is also the primary athletic trainer for the Razorback volleyball team.
Matysak joined Arkansas after five seasons at Kentucky where she served as a senior athletic trainer. She worked with the women’s basketball team and had secondary duties with women’s golf, rifle and volleyball. In addition, she supervised women’s health issues and protocols.
Matysak spent four years as the men’s soccer and men’s and women’s lacrosse athletic trainer at Notre Dame prior to her time with the Wildcats. She completed her post-graduate work at Auburn from 1999-2001.
A native of Knox, Indiana, Matysak is a 1999 graduate of Purdue with a degree in athletic training. She earned her master’s degree at Auburn in 2001.
