#1 Arkansas, Oral Roberts Meet in Midweek Matchup

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 1 Arkansas (13-2) renews its storied series with Oral Roberts (7-9) in a midweek matchup on Tuesday, March 12, at Baum-Walker Stadium. First pitch in the Hogs’ first home night game is 6 p.m. on SEC Network+.

Riding a nine-game winning streak into Tuesday night’s contest against the Golden Eagles, the Razorbacks are one win shy of recording their ninth winning streak of 10 or more games under head coach Dave Van Horn.

Arkansas is 70-35 all-time against Oral Roberts, including 10 consecutive victories in the series since 2009. The Hogs are 39-14 against the Golden Eagles in Fayetteville, including a 15-5 mark in games played at Baum-Walker Stadium.

The Hogs, who have won nine consecutive games, are the consensus No. 1 team in the country after earning the top spot in four of the five major polls, including Baseball America, D1Baseball, Perfect Game and USA Today Coaches.

Arkansas has been ranked in the USA Today Coaches Poll for 97 consecutive weeks dating back to 2017. The Razorbacks have been ranked in the top 10 of the poll for 49 of the past 51 weeks.

Good Start
The Hogs are 13-2 through their first 15 games of the 2024 season. Arkansas has gotten off to a 13-2 or better start eight times under head coach Dave Van Horn, including in 2003, 2005-06, 2011-12, 2019, 2023 and now 2024.

Last season, the Hogs went 18-2 through their first 20 games. Since 1960, Arkansas has begun 18-2 or better through its first 20 games eight times (1982, 1995-96, 2003, 2005, 2012, 2019 and 2023), as well as five times in the Van Horn era.

Winning Ways

Home Sweet Baum-Walker
The Razorbacks are 11-1 inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium this season.

Last season, Arkansas went 32-6 (.842 winning percentage) at Baum-Walker Stadium. It was the Razorbacks’ fourth 30-win season at home since the stadium opened in 1996. Excluding the shortened 2020 campaign, the Hogs have won 28 games or more at home in six consecutive seasons, including a program-record 34 wins in 2018.
