

#10 Razorbacks Finish 2nd at Regular-Season Finale
BRYAN, Texas – High winds combined with a difficult course led to higher scores than normal, but #10 Arkansas tied for the low round of the day and placed second (298-293-304=895 / +31) at the Aggie Invitational, played at Traditions Golf Club (par 72, 7,227 yards).
The best individual round Sunday was +1 by five players, including Razorbacks Julian Perico and Wil Gibson.
The Razorbacks, which led the 12-team field with 168 pars over three rounds, also had the best team score in round two yesterday to move from sixth to second. Today, the Hogs and #7 Texas Tech each carded a 16-over-par round of 304 to remain in second and third place, respectively. Host and 23rd-ranked Texas A&M won with a 54-hole score of 887 (+23) after shooting a 17-over-par round Sunday. Houston and #32 New Mexico tied for fourth with a total of 911.
In nine events this season, Arkansas now has seven top-four finishes, including four top-two finishes thanks to wins at the Blessings Collegiate and the SEC Match Play and runner-up finishes at the Stephens Cup and the Aggie Invitational.
Perico climbed 19 spots with his 73 to finish tied for 15th (79-75-73=227) for his third top 20 finish of the season. The senior opened the day with back-to-back birdies and finished with three total birdies Sunday – tying for the second-best total. Gibson turned in one of the cleanest cards in the field on Sunday with 14 pars, three bogeys and two birdies. His final-round 73 elevated him 19 spots into a tie for 19th (74-81-73=228).
Segundo Oliva Pinto was the Razorbacks’ top finisher by tying for 10th (77-69-79=225). It marks Oliva Pinto’s highest finish this year, but it was his sixth top 20 finish in eight stroke-play events.
Mateo Fernandez de Oliveira led the field with 39 pars, followed by 38 from Perico. Fernandez de Oliveira tied Perico at 15th with a total of 227 (75-71-81). The junior has six top 20 finishes in eight stroke-play events this season.
Luke Long tied for 22nd (72-78-79=229).
Enrique Dimayuga, playing as an individual, finished tied for 37th with a score of 234 (+18). However, he tied for second in the field with nine birdies, including two on Sunday.
Up next, Arkansas heads to St. Simons, Ga., for the SEC Championships, held April 20-24 at Sea Island Golf Club. In the last two SEC Championships, Arkansas has a win (2019) and a runner-up finish (2021) as well as an individual champion in Segundo Oliva Pinto (2021).
