13 NCAA Tournament Teams, Three College World Series Participants Highlight Razorbacks’ 2026 Slate

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas head coach Courtney Deifel has announced the complete schedule for the 2026 softball season. The Razorbacks are slated to play 52 total games in the regular season, with 28 being played at home inside the friendly confines at Bogle Park.

Deifel’s squad is scheduled to face 13 teams that advanced to the 2025 NCAA Tournament, including six Super Regional participants, three Women’s College World Series participants, and defending national champion, Texas. The 24 opponents on the Razorbacks’ schedule combined to go 849-504-2 (.627) in 2025.

Arkansas opens the 2026 campaign in Conway, S.C., at the Kickin’ Chicken Classic (Feb. 6-8). The Razorbacks will commence the season by facing Virginia (9 a.m.) and Akron (11:30 a.m.) on Friday, Feb. 6. Arkansas will then return the following day for a rematch with Virginia (9 a.m.) before squaring off against tournament host Coastal Carolina (2 p.m.). The Hogs will conclude the classic against Akron at 9 a.m. on Feb. 8.

Following the trip to Coastal Carolina, Arkansas will travel to San Marcos, Texas, for the second consecutive year to compete amongst a loaded tournament field in the States Up Invitational hosted by Texas State. The Razorbacks will open play against Wichita State (10 a.m.) and Clemson (4:45 p.m.) on Friday, Feb. 13, and then face BYU (10 a.m.) and Texas State (1:15 p.m.) on Feb. 14, prior to concluding the invitational on Sunday, Feb. 15, against Clemson at 10 a.m.

The Razorbacks’ first action at Bogle Park will occur when they host the Wooo Pig Classic on Feb. 20-22, kicking off a 15-game homestand. Arkansas will play SEMO and Northwestern each of the three days.

The following week, Arkansas welcomes Omaha, Boise State, Charlotte and Kansas into town for the Razorback Rumble on Feb. 26-March 1. The Razorbacks open play against Omaha on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 4 p.m. Arkansas will face Boise State (4:45 p.m.) and Charlotte (7 p.m.) on Friday, Feb. 27, before returning Saturday with matchups with Omaha (2:30 p.m.) and Charlotte (4:45 p.m.). The Hogs will close out the weekend with Kansas on Sunday, March 1, at 12:15 p.m.

The Razorbacks open SEC play at Bogle Park for the first time since March 10-12, 2023, when they welcome Georgia to Bogle Park on March 6-8.

The Hogs will make the short trip north to play a Monday non-conference contest at Missouri State on March 9. Arkansas will then travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to face Alabama on March 13-15. Following the series at Alabama, Deifel’s squad then takes a break from SEC play with a midweek matchup at Central Arkansas on Tuesday, March 17, before returning to the friendly confines of Bogle Park for a three-game series against UConn (March 20-22). Central Arkansas will travel to Fayetteville on Tuesday, March 24, for the second of the biannual meetings between the in-state foes.

Arkansas then hosts consecutive SEC home series against Florida on March 27-29 and Auburn on April 3-5. Following the 10-game homestand, the Razorbacks hit the road for a pair of series at Mississippi State (April 10-12) and Oklahoma (April 17-19). The trip to Norman, Okla., will be the first for Deifel’s squad since May 25-26, 2018, when the Razorbacks made their first NCAA Super Regional Appearance in program history.

Arkansas closes out its home conference slate by hosting the Missouri Tigers on April 24-26. The Razorbacks will then wrap up the regular season with a Thursday-Saturday series at defending national champion, Texas, on April 30-May 2. The matchup between the Hogs and Horns will be the first meeting between the programs as SEC opponents and the first since the 2022 Super Regionals in Fayetteville.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, Kentucky will host the 2026 SEC Tournament on May 5-9 at John Cropp Softball Stadium in Lexington, Ky. The Razorbacks’ league bye weekend will occur on March 20-22.

The schedule is subject to change, including the move of some conference series to conclude on Mondays to accommodate network television designations.

The Razorbacks are coming off a 44-14 mark in 2025, which featured their eighth-consecutive NCAA Tournament berth and fourth NCAA Super Regional appearance in program history, all of which have come under head coach Courtney Deifel’s guidance.
