

#5 Arkansas Finishes Fourth Fallen Oak Collegiate
SAUCIER, Miss. – The fifth-ranked Arkansas men’s golf program wrapped its fall portion of the 2025-26 schedule by finishing fourth with a three-day total of 846 (-18) at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational, played at the par-72 Fallen Oak Golf Club.
The Razorbacks were 33-under par as a team this fall and finished among the top four in all four fall events, including a pair of third-place finishes and a win at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational.
Ninth-ranked LSU, who led after all three days, got three birdies from Matthew Dodd-Berry to close the event to tie #20 Alabama for the team title, each posting a 54-hole total of 832 (-32). The Crimson Tide was -16 in the final round to move from third into a share of the lead. #20 Illinois was also 16-under on Monday and moved from fourth to third with a score of -29. Arkansas, second after 36 holes, was 1-over in the final round to finish fourth ahead of #7 Ole Miss (-15) and #19 Tennessee (-14).
Cam Smith recorded his second-straight, top-finish of the fall as well as his career. He tied for fifth with a three-day total of 208 (-8) thanks to rounds of 69-70-69. In the final round, he was the only Razorback to break par with his 3-under 69. Overall, he tied for fourth in the field with 16 birdies.
Erich Fortlage tied for 18th with a 3-under 213, firing rounds of 70-69-74 over three days. He was one of three Razorbacks to shoot 74 on Monday along with Niilo Maki-Petaja and John Daly II. Maki-Petaja, who led Arkansas with 38 pars over 54 holes, tied for 23rd (214 / -2) and Daly tied for 27th (215 / -1).
Gerardo Gomez had the second-best round by a Razorback on Monday with an even-par round of 72. He tied for 40th (217 / +1). Willie Gordon, playing as an individual, tied for 44th with a 3-over total of 219.
Arkansas will start the spring portion of its schedule on Feb. 16 at the Watersound Invitational in Panama City Beach, Fla.
