6 Hogs Named NFCA All-South Region
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Six Arkansas Razorback student-athletes were selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s (NFCA) All-South Region teams, the organization announced Thursday.
Chenise Delce, Cylie Halvorson, Reagan Johnson and Rylin Hedgecock were named to the All-South Region First Team. Raigan Kramer was tabbed to the second team and Lauren Camenzind was selected to the third team.
It’s the second straight first team recognition for Delce. The Oklahoma City native has earned four All-Region selections throughout her collegiate career. Halvorson has been named to an All-Region team for the second time in her career. Halvorson was named Second Team All-Midwest Region in 2021 while at South Dakota State.
It’s the first All-Region accolades for Hedgecock, Kramer, Camenzind and Johnson.
In 2022, Arkansas set a program record with eight Razorbacks garnering All-Region recognition.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association’s 10 regions with first, second and third team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominate student-athletes and vote for the teams. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2023 NFCA Division I All-America squads.
Arkansas begins the 2023 NCAA Tournament at 6:30 p.m. Friday against Harvard at Bogle Park. The game will be available on ESPN+ with Drew Carter and Jenny Dalton-Hill on the call.
