60% Of Student-Athletes Achieve 3.00+ GPA

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Sixty percent of the University of Arkansas’ student-athletes achieved a 3.00 or better term grade point average the Razorbacks Athletics Department announced today.

That number is an increase from 55 percent last spring and represents steady improvement for all 19 of the Razorbacks’ athletics programs.

Razorback student-athletes have posted 11 consecutive semesters with a 3.00 or better GPA including the spring semester’s 3.24 mark.  There was also an increase in the number of Academic Champions with perfect 4.0 grade point averages from 50 to 52 from a year ago.

The Razorback gymnastics team paced the way this term with a 3.69 GPA while men’s cross country led the way for men’s teams with a 3.26 mark.  The Razorback women’s and men’s golf teams have the highest cumulative GPA’s at 3.57 and 3.34, respectively.
