Aqua Hogs Add Seven from 2022 Signing Class

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Swim and Dive welcomed seven new members to the Hill, Head Coach Neil Harper announced. Maddy Hartley, Delaney Harrison, Nikoleta Trnikova, Betsy Wizard, and Brianna Cottingham all signed National Letters of Intent. Additionally, Sydney Craft and Hannah Hall both committed to preferred walk-on spots to join the Razorbacks next fall.

“I am very excited about our seven new Razorbacks,” Harper said. “Our staff and team have done a great job recruiting great student-athletes that are driven, coachable and a great fit with our team chemistry, culture, and coaching style.”

Maddy Hartley
Fly/Free | Virginia Beach, VA.

Maddy Hartley is a Virginia Class 5 State Champion in the 500 Freestyle. She ranks 13th in the state of Virginia as a swimmer. In addition, Maddy Hartley has notched a third-place finish in the 200 Freestyle, an eighth-place finish in the 200 Individual Medley, and a fourth-place finish in Virginia Class 5 State Championships.

“Maddy has great potential in the fly and free events. She comes from a great club program, and I am excited to coach her and for her to take full advantage of the great opportunity she has on our campus.”

Delaney Harrison
Free/Fly/Back | Woodstock, GA. 

Delaney Harrison is a two-time Georgia 6A State Champion in the 100 Freestyle. Harrison is ranked sixth in the state of Georgia as a swimmer. She has also garnered back-to-back second-place finishes in the 50 Freestyle in Georgia 6A State Championship in 2021 and 2020.

What Coach Harper had to say about Delaney Harrison:

“Delaney has been a Razorback for a while now and she has been the catalyst to us landing a great recruiting class. Her free and fly events will go from strength to strength in Fayetteville and we look for her to contribute on the SEC and NCAA levels going forward.”

Nikoleta Trnikova
Individual Medley/Breast | Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia

Nikoleta Trnikova has won the Romanian International Swimming Championship six times. Nikoleta has championship wins in the 200 Individual Medley, 100 Breaststroke, 200 Breaststroke, and 400 Individual Medley. She also has a seventh-place finish in the European Junior Championships, as she swam in the 400 Individual Medley. Nikoleta Trnikova is ranked 25th in the nation as a swimming recruit.

“Nikoleta has proven to be one of the best young prospects coming from Europe. Her IM and breaststroke events will score at the SEC’s and we are excited to have her focus on NCAA, World, and Olympic success!”

Betsy Wizard
Fly/Free | Northampton, England

Betsy Wizard is ranked 67th in the nation as a swimming recruit. In the 2019-20 swim season, Wizard ranked 17th as a swimmer in England. She also ranked first as Northampton Swimming Club as well.

“Betsy is another great prospect coming from Europe. Her Free and Fly events will score at SEC’s and we will goal set with her for future NCAA, Commonwealth, European, and Olympic success!”

Brianna Cottingham
Breast | Pfafftown, NC 

Brianna Cottingham had a fourth-place finish in 100 Breaststroke in the North Carolina 4A State Championship in 2021. Cottingham also picked up a seventh-place finish in the 100 Breaststroke in North Carolina 4A Western Regional Championship. Brianna is ranked 13th in the state of North Carolina as a swimmer.

“Brianna is a great student-athlete who is just scratching the surface of her potential. She will have some great teammates to train with to help her achieve success at the conference and NCAA levels.”

Sydney Craft
Fly/Free | Bristow, VA.

Sydney Craft tallied an eighth-place finish in the Virginia 6A State Championship in the 200 Freestyle. She ranks 22nd in the state of Virginia as a swimmer. Sydney is also a champion in the Potomac Valley Senior Championship in the 500 Freestyle.

“Sydney has been committed to the Razorbacks the longest. I am very excited for her to take her swimming to the next level and prove that she is an SEC student-athlete! She is very driven and dedicated and we are excited for her to get started here in Fayetteville.”

Hannah Hall
Free/Fly/Back | Little Rock, AR.

Hannah Hall is an Arkansas 5A State Champion in 100 Fly and 100 Backstroke. She is a two-time finalist in the Speedo Sectionals with a fifth-place finish in the 50 Freestyle and an eight-place finish in the 100 Backstroke. Also, Hall is a two-time Arkansas 5A Central Conference Champion in the 100 Backstroke and 100 Fly. Her time in the 100 Backstroke is a 5A Arkansas State Record. Hannah is ranked second in the state of Arkansas as a swimmer.

Hannah is one of the best swimmers from our state. She has been well-coached and is a disciplined student-athlete. As she takes full advantage of the coaching and competitive daily training, she will improve and help contribute to our team goals.”
