
Arkansas 2025 cross country schedule announced
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas women’s cross country schedule for the 2025 season includes seven meets with the Razorbacks racing on its home Agri Park facility twice.
In the third season under women’s head coach Chris Johnson and the initial cross country season for distance coach Marc Burns, Arkansas opens the season with a pair of trips to Columbia, Missouri.
The Razorbacks will compete at the Missouri Opener on August 29 and the Gans Creek Classic on September 26. The Gans Creek facility will host the 2025 NCAA Championships on November 22.
The 37th Chile Pepper Festival will be held on October 4 at Agri Park as the featured collegiate races start at 10:25 a.m. and 11 a.m. for the McDonnell Memorial 8k and Harter’s Habanero 5k. The full schedule of races is available at https://www.chilepepperfestival.org/schedule/.
A trip to Madison, Wisconsin, will have Arkansas competing in the Nuttycombe Invitational on October 17.
Tennessee will host the SEC Championships on October 31. The Razorbacks have won a league record 22 cross country titles, the most recent occurring in 2021 on the Gans Creek course to complete a nine-year consecutive run of titles.
In hosting the NCAA South Central Region on November 14, Arkansas will enter the meet with a 13-year winning streak. They claimed the 2024 title by one point over Texas on the College Station course.
The Razorbacks have won the region title the past five times Arkansas has hosted the South Central meet, which includes a perfect score of 15 points in claiming the 2019 title. The top two teams in the regional earn automatic qualification to the NCAA Championships.
