Arkansas announces 2023 track and field schedule
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas will host a total of seven meets during the 2023 track and field season. The schedule includes five indoor meets, including the SEC Championships, along with a pair of outdoor meets.
The indoor season opens for the Razorbacks on Friday, January 13 at with the Arkansas Invitational, followed by the Razorback Invitational held on January 27-28.
With the NCAA Indoor Championships being held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on March 10-11, Arkansas will travel to the New Mexico Collegiate Classic on February 3-4.
The annual Tyson Invitational, held in the Randal Tyson Track Center, will take place February 10-11 while a group of Razorbacks will also compete in the Husky Classic hosted by Washington on the same weekend.
Prior to hosting the SEC Indoor Championships on February 24-25, the Razorbacks host the Arkansas Qualifier on February 17.
The University of New Mexico will serve as host of the NCAA Indoor Championships in March. New Mexico was scheduled to host the 2020 version of the meet, when it was canceled due to Covid-19.
Outdoors, the Razorbacks host the John McDonnell Invitational with a Thursday-Friday encounter on April 20-21. The Arkansas Twilight will be held on Friday, May 5.
California will be a common destination for the Razorbacks outdoor campaign, which begins with the Stanford Invitational on March 31-April 1.
Arkansas returns to the Golden State for a series of three meets held between April 12-15 which includes the Mt. SAC Invitational in Walnut, the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, and the Beach Invitational in Long Beach.
Arkansas competes in the LSU Invitational held on April 29, and the Razorbacks return to Baton Rouge for the SEC Outdoor Championships hosted by LSU on May 11-13.
The NCAA West Preliminary Round will take place in Sacramento, California, from May 24-27. Qualifiers then advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships hosted by the University of Texas in Austin from June 7-10.
