Arkansas Checks In At No. 27 In ITA Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. – Arkansas checked in at No. 27 in the first computerized Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis National Team Rankings of the 2017 season, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Tuesday.

It’s the Razorbacks’ highest team ranking since No. 24 on March 29, 2016.

“It’s great to see our number moving in a positive direction,” head coach Michael Hegarty said. “However, we are all focused in knowing that the only ranking that matters is the end of season ranking, and we’ll compete each day with that as our guide.”

Winners of five straight and fresh off a sweep of Wichita State and Cornell on Monday, the Razorbacks (8-2) will host Illinois on Friday. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m., at Dills Indoor Tennis Center.
