
Arkansas Continues Play at the ITF 15K Fayetteville
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team continued play at the ITF 15K Fayetteville Tuesday with five Razorbacks competing in various parts of the competition.
Ben Weintraub started the day in the second round of qualifying for the Hogs, falling to Moritz Kudernatsch, 6-4, 3-6, 5-10. Arsene Pougault dropped his match to Alan Magadan in the first round of the singles main draw, 0-6, 1-6.
Gabriel Elicha Navas paired up with Blu Baker from Great Britain in the doubles main draw, besting Evan Bynoe and Tristan Stringer, 7-5, 6-2 in the first round. Brendan Boland and Marino Jakic took down Raphael Perot and Rudy Quan, 6-2, 6-2 in the opening round.
The Hogs will have five members of the squad competing on Wednesday. Lukas Palovic begins play in the singles main draw against Baker on Court 1 as teammates Elicha Navas and Jakub Vrba compete against one another on Court 2. The duo of Connor Smillie and Vrba will take the court directly following Vrba’s singles match on Court 2, while Palovic and Weintraub face Ioan Alexandru Chirita and Alan Magadan on Court 1.
