Arkansas Earns Academic Honors

TEMPE, Ariz. – For the fourth straight year, the Arkansas women’s tennis program earned team and individual academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for the 2017-18 season, it was announced Tuesday.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2016 and spring 2017).

Six student-athletes from the 2017-18 roster, including Mia Jurasic, Peyton Jennings, Jackie Carr, Shwetha Prabakar, Natsuho Arakawa and Giulia Pairone, earned ITA Scholar-Athlete status. To qualify, one must hold a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the year, be a varsity letter winner and have been enrolled at least two semesters at their present school.
